A Time for Change

Everybody goes through change at least a few times during their life. Maybe you recently moved, or maybe you just got a new job....or maybe....you're going to University next year! Change can bring excitement, fear, joy, or even deep hurt. No matter what the change is in my life however, I know that I can trust that my awesome and all powerful God has my life in control. Most of the time this is harder for me to do than say, but over the past year, I have learned that its the only way to go. Here are some verses that have really encouraged me over the past year....

Hebrews 10 - And without faith, it is impossible to please Him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who seek Him.

Psalms 121:8 -The Lord will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forevermore.

Psalm 125:1 -Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion, which cannot be moved.

Phil 4:6 Do not be anxious about anything.....

Matthew 6:25- 34 “Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? 26 Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? 27 And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? .......
........ “Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

Well, anyways, next year will be bringing some big changes into my life, and ready or not, I must trust God to lead me through it! I feel nervous and excited all in one.....I wish I could just know what it will be like:-) I'm hoping that, since I am majoring in performance, playing in public might get a little easier as time goes by.....ha ha. ya right. I've been at this for 10 years, and I think I actually get more nervous every time I perform. ;-) Well, 4 years seems like long time away, but I'm excited to see what God has planned for my life! In 4 years, I'll be 23 years old!!!!!!!!!! Is that scary or what???

Today is the first Tuesday that we haven't had classes in the afternoon/evening! YAY! I had time to clean out my closet this morning........not a pretty sight...but I'm so happy its done! Tuesday is now my free-est day of the week;-) That makes me glad!

See ya'll!

An Afternoon Off:-)

Yup. Yesterday, the three of us took a vote and decided to take the afternoon off from studying and just enjoy the day. We vegged for a while, and then we took a long walk through the ravine behind our house. We used to play in the ravine a lot when we were younger. Although, more often then not, we were really just tagging along with my brother and his friends. They had all kinds of cool hideouts and forts.

A funny thing happened while we were out. There's a creek that runs through the ravine, and at one point we found this little island thing in the middle of the creek - so Hannah picks up the dog and jumps across. However, once she got over there, she realized that she couldn't jump back across with the dog in her arms. ( The island was lower than the edge of the bank.) So, in the end, we decided that the only way to get the dog back was to throw her across the creek. O dear. Well, she landed safely enough, but I don't think it was a pleasant experience. I imagined all kinds of different thoughts that could have been running through her little brain during that split second while she was in the air.

Anyways, it was a fun afternoon! Today we must hit the books again:-)
Ok guys, so I won't be posting again until Friday after 5pm.
To Friday Night!!

In the Morning...........

In the morning, when I rise
In the morning, when I rise
In the morning, when I rise, give me Jesus
Give me Jesus, Give me Jesus,
You can have all this world,
But give me Jesus
When I am alone
When I am alone
When I am alone, give me Jesus
Give me Jesus, Give me Jesus,
You can have all this world,
But give me Jesus

When I come to die
When I come to die
When I come to die, give me Jesus
Give me Jesus, Give me Jesus,
You can have all this world,

You can have all this world,
You can have all this world,
But give me Jesus
